Joshua Jackson Jr., a former defensive back for the University of Southern California, was detained and charged with three instances of rape dating back to 2020, with the most recent incident reportedly occurring in March, according to law enforcement and officials on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release that Jackson, who didn’t play for USC last season and entered the transfer portal in April, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with one felony offence of forceful sexual penetration and three felony charges of forcible rape.

George Gascon, the district attorney, declared that sexual assault is a horrific crime that cannot be condoned.
The onus is now on us to see that justice is served after these courageous ladies made the difficult choice to come forward and report their assault. We shall exert every effort to ensure that the offender is held accountable for his conduct.

The district attorney claims that between June 1 and September 1, 2020, Jackson is suspected of raping a UCLA student in his apartment. He is also accused of raping a classmate in March 2023 at her USC flat.

A third victim has been located in San Diego, according to a statement released on Wednesday by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The LAPD continued, “It is believed that Jackson was involved in additional, unreported sexual assaults.”

According to the authorities, Jackson has a $1.4 million bail set. A quick arraignment is anticipated for him.
Jackson made two starts in the 2021 campaign while playing for interim head coach Donte Williams.
