The reasons Nikola Jokic ought to have earned his third consecutive MVP Award are still being demonstrated by him.
The Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 109-94 on Wednesday, with The Joker attempting the first 30-20-10 performance in NBA Finals history.
With the victory, Denver increased their lead in the NBA Finals to two games to one as they go for their first championship in franchise history.
No team led by more than five points in the first half, but Denver went on a 6-0 run to start the third quarter and secure the first double-digit lead of the game.

In that quarter, they were able to increase their lead to 19 points, and in the fourth, it reached 21 points. Miami made a late comeback and reduced the gap to nine, but it was too little, too late.

With 32 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists, Jokic had a historic night.
Jamal Murray also recorded a triple-double, finishing with a game-high 34 points, 10 rebounds (with his 10th with five seconds left), and 10 assists.
In a game during the regular season, Jokic and Murray became the first teammates in NBA history to each score 30 points and record a triple-double.

In double digits, there were only two Heat players. Jimmy Butler scored 28 points overall, and Bam Adebayo contributed 22 points and 17 rebounds. Only 44 points were scored by the rest of the team as a whole.

Denver’s team shot 51.2% from the field. Miami only made 37.0% of its shots.
Miami will host Game 4 on Friday night.
